MRP40 Morse Code Decoder & Sender

 
MRP40 is an amateur radio software program to receive morse code via soundcard, it allows to transmit morse code from the keyboard. Ham radio operators use MRP40 to overcome weak DX conditions. MRP40 helps to score in CW contest.

Morse Code Decoding 0.4 to 60 WpM

Morse Code Sending 0.4 to 60 WpM: There are 2 ways for sending:

1. Recommended: Sending via AFSK CW audio output from Soundcard. The soundcard generated signal has a sine waveform and a smooth envelope. There are no annoying "Keyklicks". So the CW audio output from Soundcard can perfectly be used for SSB transmission mode. The rise and decay time of the soundcard generated CW-signals is automatically adapted to the sending speed. So a minimum Bandwidth is occupied. Particular with QRSS. Note: When using AFSK via Soundcard for sending one can in addition steer the PTT via ComPort . In the menue of MRP40 just select under -Options - Tx-Settings the CheckBox named "Activate PTT pin".  Those who prefer to hardkey the Tranceiver can use a ready made Interface Box or build up a neat litle interface circuit like suggested in QST Magazine 02/2007 by Dennis McCall, KF3AD

• System Requirements:

Vista specific instructions:
MRP40 can run unter Vista only if launched directly from it's Program folder location  for example „c:\Programs\MRP40v60\MRP40v61.exe“

In the properties table one must set:


• XP Servicepack2 ( right click on the MRP40v61.exe file to access the properties tab and select XP Service pack 2) this step need be done only one time.
  
• Execute as  Administrator (each time one runs the program, it is necessary to right click the .exe file and select to run it as Administrator. )
