The window shows life the amplitude of the filtered audio signal.
The red line indicates the threshold level for decoding.
The recommended default level is 50%
The level can be varied between 29% and 71%
In noisy situations where spikes periodically hit the threshold level it can be very useful to apply a level of 60% or more. In Addition: At Levels other than 50% the Automatic-Gain-Control (AGC) is advised to do less amplification of low signals to avoid that non-morse signals hit the threshold.
Weak signals are decoded best with a level of 50%
